President Obama A Pragmatic Hero

The Democrats and Liberals are mad at President Obama for making the compromise to extend the Bush tax cuts. They are calling him every name in the book. The same way they did during the healthcare fight.

They are upset that he is fighting back at them. He is supposed to. Standing on the principle for the American people come first regardless of what political stakes are at risk. They think he is not supposed to respond at all to the hateful chatter on cable and the web. From his own party. Hell he get enough of that crap from the Republicans, why should he have to take it from his party that he work tirelessly for.
During the press conference he blasted Democrats, Republicans and the Media. As he should have.

Democrats need to remember, someone is waiting on their next unemployment check to pay their rent or mortgage. Someone is waiting on their next unemployment check to buy food or pay for lights and heat. The same people who are raising all the hell talking about President Obama's compromise  have a paycheck. They have homes and cars, food. They don't have the uncertainty of wondering if they may be evicted next month. So sure the House and Senate Democrats can holler, they want a better deal. Where were they the last 2 years?  President Obama was asking them to pass these tax cuts permanently.  Why haven't they passed all of these bills already?  Now that the clock is running out, here they are with all the bitching.

Democrats are their own worst enemy. There is a big tent. They have to learn to walk and work in loc step with the party, or they will always lose.

This mess is not the Presidents fault. It is the Senate and House's fault. The Democrats have the majority in both houses and President Obama and his Administration have been to the hill numerous times begging Democrats to pass various legislation tax cuts and unemployment insurance. Even during the healthcare debates he had to beg his own party to go along with certain provisions. They could of passed these bills over the last 2 years.
President Obama have had to beg his own party to pass Start Treaty, DADT, Close Gitmo, (they won't give him the money to close the prison) Immigration Reform, Energy Bill, hell he caught hell trying to pass Healthcare for the American people. Our own party wouldn't vote. At least not until we lost a seat in the Senate.

This tax deal is only framework. Maybe this is what President Obama have to do to get Democrats from dragassing and get to work to get something done for the American people.
President Obama can't write bills, but Congress can. And they should do their job.
