Thoughts On News for Week 9-12-2011
Just wondering why Democrats don't stick together when the stakes are so high for the country and for the Democratic Party. The so called senseless bitchin about Daily in the Whitehouse. To griping about the American Jobs Bill before they even had a chance to read it. If these Democrats want to vote like Republicans then they should just change parties. The LA Senator Landrieu saying she won't vote to remove oil and gas tax breaks. Give me a break. She should just get out of the party. She isn't working for the American people. She is looking out for oil and gas companies, who are reaping billions off of America's poor and disadvantaged. And who surprised me was PA's Senator Casey who want to break up the bill into pieces. How stupid is he? There are others grumbling also.
This is why Democrats lose elections. Running off at the mouth saying stupid things, and not standing with the President. Who by the way is looking out for the countries economy. This is a common sense bill, not liberal, not conservative. Just pragmatic. For the times we are in right now. We need more to the package, but we can't afford it right now. As people start working and paying taxes again, the deficit will come down. Right now nothing is coming in and everything is going out.
So this American Jobs Bill is good and right for the US right now, the congress should pass it.
Republicans even though they have more unemployed people in their states and will benefit from the bills passage won't vote for it. Because they say it will give President Obama a win. What about their constituents? And what is with people that are unemployed, living in poverty and still vote for a Republican. Who is against everything that they need in their lives. Republicans who look out for Wall Street before their constituents on main street. Or people that vote for Democrats that don't look out for them. Same reasoning applies to both parties. Why?
I live in South Carolina. In the upstate. The unemployment is over 11% maybe higher than that for the underemployed and people who have stopped looking. There is more whites in this state than blacks or other races. And all these poor white people keep voting in Republicans, such as Nikki Haley and DeMint and who have done nothing for South Carolina. Nothing. All they do is run around the country on the taxpayers dime and try to recruit other rightwing Republicans to congress. I don't get it. With unemployment over 11% in DeMint's districts I would bet my head he will vote against any jobs package for the American people. People like him should be run out of congress on a rail.
This is why America is not proceeding as fast as we could be.
When Democrats had congress the last 2 years, the economy was growing. So was the GDP. Stock Market is up, and America was starting to move again. For some reason Democrats did not come out and vote in 2010 and let the animals take over the zoo. And America have been losing jobs and economy have stalled since the Republicans have been in office. I think the Republican Governors are laying off state workers on purpose to keep the unemployment high. To try to make President Obama look bad, and try to win the next election. All the big money is taking over states, and statehouses.
Democrats remember if we don't stand together. We will all fall. As for the Republican's running for office. A wise woman said: Believe a person when they tell you and show you who they are the first time. That is who that person really is. So Weird Willard and Slick Rick, we believe, we believe that you are who you showed us you were before running for President, trying to recreate your image now won't help. Memories go back a long way. Stop your madness and put America first.
